Nancy Dell�Olio to pose for Playboy? 'For �250k she will show top and bottom'

Nancy Dell’Olio could never be accused of being the shy or retiring type. But the former partner of football manager Sven-Goran Eriksson has now gone a stage further – by agreeing to pose naked.

Miss Dell’Olio, who was voted off Strictly Come Dancing last month, is poised to sign a ?250,000 deal with Playboy magazine.

Her spokesman said: ‘We are in talks at the moment. It is fair to say that Nancy has never looked better and she is all for empowering women of any age.’

It is understood that the proposed photoshoot would feature Miss Dell’Olio in a range of flamenco-style poses. The Italian lawyer is said to be demanding an exotic  foreign location and a renowned photographer.

A close friend said: ‘She is negotiating with Playboy and is very keen. Both she and her advisers are trying to finalise the deal.

‘Nancy has said she wants to do a Mata Hari-style shoot with them, in which she seduces the reader. She also likes the idea of the classic strip and also the sexy flamenco-styled shots. She says she is  willing to show top and bottom in a tasteful way.’

The friend added: ‘Nancy says that her body has never looked so good and wants to show the world that she is one of the sexiest women on the planet. She also thinks the photos might help her to snare a man.

‘She says that now, at the age of 50, she finally feels that she has got the body and the mind that she has always yearned for. She wants to show the world that life really does begin at 50. At the moment there are negotiations about the location – Nancy wants a tropical island with a top photographer like Mario Testino and massive production.’

Only last week Miss Dell’Olio spoke of the prospect of posing naked for a magazine.

‘If it was the right publication and the right price,’ she said. ‘Yes, that’s for the future. Right now, I am very happy with my body. No surgery for me yet. I am too young.’ And she hit back at female critics who she thinks are jealous of her.

She said: ‘Oh, listen, darling, of course they are. I mean, just look at me! The majority of women want to be like me.

‘It is very sad. Jealousy is something that just doesn’t belong to me so I don’t understand it.

‘I think this is something women are not really very good at. We need to stick together.’

Miss Dell’Olio, who was voted off Strictly on Halloween night after performing a spooky dance with partner Anton Du Beke that was panned by the judging panel, dated theatre director Sir Trevor Nunn, 71, for four months earlier this year.

She also had an eight-year relationship with former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson, who is 13 years her senior, and was married to lawyer Giancarlo Mazza, who is 20 years older than her.

Earlier this month she was romantically linked with top chef James Petrie, who at 34 is 16 years her junior. Miss Dell’Olio and Scots-born Mr Petrie, who is head chef of the development kitchen for Heston Blumenthal at his restaurant The Fat Duck, have dated over the past few weeks but their relationship appears to have fizzled out.

Despite repeated calls, The Mail on Sunday was unable to contact Playboy magazine at its headquarters in Chicago.
